Start with the symptom your team can demonstrate
A service menu describes the work available. Your project begins with an observation: a visitor chooses the wrong route, a staff member cannot locate a decision, or a provider transition leaves two competing places to update a booking. Follow that observation before selecting a replacement system.
The following questions help identify a useful first investigation. They do not assume that every symptom has a technical cause or that every task needs automation.
People reach the site but ask what the offer includes
Look at the information beside the decision. Does a room image identify the actual room? Is an optional activity clearly separate from the accommodation? Can a visitor distinguish a demonstration from a session in which they participate?
A content review can compare the page, its cards and the linked documents against the approved offer. Visual design may also be involved if the image itself creates the wrong expectation. The result should be a clearer description, not simply another prominent call to action.
Enquiries arrive without the context staff need
Compare what the visitor selected with what the receiving team sees. A general inbox may be sufficient if it preserves the chosen service and the question. A more structured staff tool may be justified when the team also needs assignment, review or a history of decisions.
The website service can address the initial route; operations tools can support the continuing task. Begin with the missing relationship instead of assuming the entire inbox must be replaced.
Customers think a preferred date is confirmed
Inspect the offer, selection screen, receipt and staff response together. The mistake may be a phrase that promises more than the business has checked, or a workflow that does not retain the conditions required for confirmation.
Reservation work defines the relevant capacity source and confirmation rule. It also considers what happens to a changed request. A green calendar should represent a supported business decision, not compensate for a review step nobody has assigned.
Two financial numbers appear to disagree
Identify what each amount represents before changing it. A reference estimate, gross customer charge, provider fee and net settlement can all be different without indicating an unpaid order.
Online sales work and system connections can carry the correct references and meanings into the staff view. Your accountant and provider remain responsible for the relevant financial treatment. A screenshot or matching number alone does not establish the full relationship.
Repeated administration hides an unresolved decision
A reminder can repeat a request; it cannot decide which response is authorised. A generated document can combine fields; it cannot establish that its classification or commercial conditions were approved.
Administrative automation begins with a rule the business can explain. If a rule is still disputed, a visible review task may be the appropriate first result. The planning worksheet helps identify that owner and the condition that permits work to continue.
A shared device behaves as though it belongs to one person
Follow the change of staff member, not just the first sign-in. Check unfinished work, local information and actions that may resume after a connection returns. The next user should receive the task their role permits, rather than inherit another person's private draft or session.
The mobile service considers that operation alongside device and release requirements. A mobile website and an installed application still need clear identity and handover rules.
A provider change seems complete but work remains in the old account
List the outstanding reservations, changes and messages before deciding what has moved. An updated link does not establish that staff can find the information needed to continue earlier commitments.
Site care and transition work can inspect supported exports, account responsibilities and a representative journey. A recovery plan also needs to account for new work received after the switch.
For any of these situations, send an enquiry with the observation, the relevant public page and one invented example. That gives the assessment a concrete question to answer.
