Take the useful task beyond the browser tab.
A receptionist starts an arrival task on a shared tablet, then passes the device to a visiting coordinator before finishing it. The next person needs their own access and a clear choice about the unfinished work. We can design and develop a mobile product around that handover rather than treating the tablet as one permanent user.
Decide what actually transfers
For a fictional service team, separate a staff member's private working draft from a task deliberately assigned to a colleague. Agree whether the receptionist can leave the task for later, transfer responsibility or discard it. The coordinator should see the information their role permits, not inherit the first person's open session or every cached customer record.
A first paid scope can cover individual sign-in, one arrival checklist, a visible unfinished state and an intentional handover action. We inspect the devices and current tools before choosing a mobile website or installed application. Installation is useful only if the required device capabilities or repeat use justify its additional release and support work.
End the shift with an unfinished task
Use invented records to start a checklist without a connection, then sign out before the device reconnects. Decide what the second user may see and what happens when the original user returns. A private draft must not become shared work merely because connectivity resumes. If offline storage is needed, its protection, expiry and synchronization rules are explicit development work.
Acceptance follows the handover on the agreed physical devices: change user, lose a session and resume an authorized task. Staff should be able to tell which person is responsible and which work has reached the service. A different account must not accidentally submit the previous person's draft.
Bring the shift pattern, roles and one unfinished-task example without customer data. The proposal defines the first workflow, supported devices, account recovery and release responsibilities. Business-owned store accounts and subscriptions remain yours; store approval and later operating support are separate commitments. Our shared-device handover note helps prepare those choices.
